Our mission: support, care, and inclusion for young people in need
The Fondazione Donald De Sanctis was set up to offer concrete help to children and adolescents suffering from chronic, oncological, cardiac, degenerative and rare diseases, accompanying them along the difficult path of treatment and supporting their families.
Alongside its health and welfare commitment, the Foundation is dedicated to the growth and inclusion of young people in situations of physical, psychological,social or economic disadvantage, promoting educational, recreational and sports activities that foster their personal development.
By supporting scientific research and the training of medical and healthcare personnel, we work every day to improve the quality of paediatric care and contribute to therapeutic innovation.
All our actions are guided by the values of solidarity, justice, respect and humanity that inspired Donald De Sanctis' life.
“Don” De Sanctis, born in 1932 in the Bronx to an Italian family, was an entrepreneur and philanthropist who always valued people, considering them to be the true value of companies.
Founder of SDI Industries Inc., he dedicated his life to business and to building a company that was present on the market with strength, determination, and innovation, but that also knew how to excel with the strength of consistency and the vision of its people.
In recent years, Don supported young students and innovators, believing in the power of people to improve the world. He passed away in 2022, but his legacy lives on today in the Fondazione Donald De Sanctis, which continues his commitment to helping the most vulnerable.
The Fondazione Donald De Sancti operates in Italy, focusing on social and health care for children and access to education for young people.
We support children with serious illnesses through treatment, psychological support, and practical assistance, collaborating with hospitals, foster homes, and associations.
We also promote scholarships and educational projects for deserving students with limited resources, helping to build a better future.
We work with non-profit organizations and local entities to expand our impact and spread our values of solidarity and inclusion.
