Involontari di Domani: Officine Buone Brings Volunteering to Milan’s Schools
“Involontari di Domani – Volunteering Goes to School” is a project by Officine Buone, supported by the Fondazione Donald De Sanctis, created to introduce high school students in Milan and its province to the world of volunteering through meetings and firsthand accounts of real-life experiences.
Why Promote Volunteering Among Young People
Volunteering represents an extraordinary opportunity for personal and social growth that helps young people develop empathy, civic-mindedness, responsibility, and interpersonal skills, offering them concrete opportunities to become active citizens.

Through “Involontari di Domani,” Officine Buone aims to build a bridge between schools and the volunteer sector, introducing young people to a Milan that is supportive and rich in opportunities for participation.

The project offers free, approximately one-hour sessions held directly in classrooms, using an approach that moves away from traditional lecture-style teaching.

- opportunities for discussion and dialogue;

After the meetings, interested students can participate in Officine Buone’s projects, gaining firsthand experience in volunteering.
These include:
- Special Stage, which brings music and artists to hospitals and healthcare facilities;
- Special Cook, a project that uses cooking as a tool for inclusion and building relationships.
Joining these programs means experiencing the value of civic engagement and active participation, transforming awareness into experience.
A free project for schools
All sessions are completely free, with the goal of making schools a prime setting for promoting civic education and participation in solidarity initiatives.
